CMG Foundation

CMG Foundation is a non-profit organization offering conflict management services and training. Our mission is to help our community in Greater Richmond resolve disputes more amicably. Mediation is one tool for resolving conflict - it empowers clients to solve their own disputes, creating win-win solutions. The process teaches individuals the communication skills necessary for resolving future issues on their own and preventing violence. We believe that promoting and increasing the use of mediation will help create a more peaceful society.

Center For Conflict Resolution

The Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR) provides quality mediation services at low (or no) cost to the greater Los Angeles community. Founded in 1983, CCR is a non-profit organization, with roots in the Christian Legal Society. Over the years, CCR has grown and expanded to provide non-sectarian mediation services. CCR is primarily funded by a Dispute Resolution Programs Act grant. Since 1994, CCR has provided mediation services to the Los Angeles Superior Court, with a particular emphasis on Small Claims, Unlawful Detainer (Eviction) and Civil Harassment cases. CCR mediates over 2,500 Small Claims cases per year. CCR’s court-connected mediation program seeks to reduce overburdened court calendars by providing mediators to assist litigants in resolving their disputes (without having to appear before a judge). CCR's court-connected mediation services are offered in the following 9 courthouses throughout Los Angeles County: Chatsworth, Compton, Downey, Inglewood, Pasadena, Pomona, Santa Monica, Van Nuys and West Covina. Today, CCR is governed by a Board of Directors and relies on a full-time staff as well as approximately 100 active volunteer mediators who mediate 95% of CCR's cases. In creating its mediation workforce, CCR partners with local law schools, including Pepperdine and USC. This allows students the opportunity to engage in a "hands-on"​ educational clinic in which they mediate real world disputes. CCR's community mediation program includes various types of cases, including employment, landlord-tenant and contractual disputes. CCR relies on a pool of experienced volunteer mediators equipped with the skills to handle all types of disputes. The pool comprises both Attorney-Mediators and Non-Attorney Mediators.
