Empreza Di'ak is a Timorese NGO with an innovative mission in a country where 40% of the population lives outside the market economy, over 20% is unemployed, 60% lives with less than $0.88 per day and yet, we are still importing products that could be produced locally! We are using the power of business to fight poverty. There is a place and a time for charity, but now Timor Leste needs to enhance its creativity and entrepreneurship to increase income generation and promote sustainable local social businesses that answer to local needs. That is why our mission is to fight poverty by breaking down market barriers through sustainable and replicable business solutions that empower the East-Timorese and have a social impact.

DRMA - Dayton Region Manufacturers Association

The Dayton Region Manufacturers Association (DRMA) is the voice for our region's manufacturing industry. Since 1934, DRMA has served manufacturers throughout the Dayton Region and beyond as an active advocate, effectively advancing the interests of members and associated businesses. DRMA is a catalyst of innovation, a builder of partnerships, and a champion for education to keep manufacturing in the Dayton Region moving forward. Throughout its history, DRMA has helped preserve the vitality of the region's manufacturing base by fostering cooperation and competition, and by adapting to a continually evolving marketplace. DRMA builds on its proud tradition and embraces today's challenges as opportunities for growth that will carry manufacturers into an exciting future. We represent manufacturers in the Greater Dayton Region. Our members serve a variety of markets including aerospace, medical, agricultural, defense, construction, food and beverage, energy, communications, and many more. We offer two types of memberships – Regular and Associate – so no matter what your company does, we can help. And although most of our members are located in the Dayton Region, there are no geographical boundaries that limit membership.

The Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston-Salem

The Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston-Salem is an interfaith ministry that promotes and supports successful aging by providing direct services, volunteer opportunities, and enrichment programs for older adults. A volunteer-centered agency, Shepherd Center volunteers could: • Provide free labor for minor home repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and various types of yard work in an older adult's home. OR • Provide 1-2 hours per week to visit a homebound older adult or to give the primary caregiver of a homebound older adult some time off. OR • Provide transportation for older adults to medical appointments or shopping at a local grocery store in Winston-Salem. OR • Staff a booth at local health and information fairs to pass out information about the Shepherd's Center and answer questions regarding the programs. OR • Assist with the setup and registration for our bi-annual event, Adventures in Learning, that takes place in the spring and fall. OR • Lead or assist students in our Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced Computer Classes for Seniors. OR • Lead or assist activities in our Active Seniors program. OR • Assist with our annual Book Sale setup, cashiering, book arrangement, and clean up after the event. OR lastly, • Answer the telephones and database entry for a variety of projects as well as assist with office tasks such as copying, mailings, and organization
