City Heights Town Council

City Heights, San Diego is comprised of 16 unique neighborhoods made up of diverse individuals, families, and businesses. The City Heights Town Council (CHTC) exists to bring neighbors together by aiding in the forward movement and success of all community members. The CHTC meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Mid-City Police Station, 2nd floor, at 4310 Landis Street, San Diego 92105. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Competitive Edge

Competitive Edge is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on workforce development through training, mentorship, and direct career placement. We partner with local employers, educators, and community organizations to prepare individuals for careers in utility construction and professional service support roles. Through our cohort-based training program, participants gain hands-on experience, certifications, and the professional skills needed to succeed and grow in today’s workforce. What makes this work is community. Our approach is grounded in collaboration—with industry leaders, training providers, public agencies, and advocates all showing up to facilitate, teach, mentor, and support. No single company can carry this alone, and that’s the point. The strength of Competitive Edge comes from the way our community comes together to move people forward—and over the finish line.

Another Level of Excellence, Inc

Another Level of Excellence, or ALOE, is a career exploration and civic engagement nonprofit for volunteers in the community to support programming specifically for unrepresented youth interested in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers. Through hands-on workshops, mentoring, volunteerism, and civic engagement/service learning, youth are able to make connections in STEM and careers, as well as value the importance of serving their local community. We seek to promote connections between professionals and underrepresented students through service learning and career exploration. Through leveraging our networks and resources, professionals will provide guidance to those who are seeking a purpose-filled career choice. This organization is put in place to continue the cycle of the greatest gift that affects generations to come: furthering an education for a better quality life for all people.

French-American Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Chapter

The Michigan Chapter of the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC Michigan) is a member of the French-American Chamber of Commerce - the oldest bilateral chamber of commerce in the United States, comprised of 19 chapters in major cities across the nation representing more than 5,000 member organizations. The FACC is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to the development of commercial relations between French and American businesses. FACC Michigan works to assist and promote its members through introductions, exposure at events, award programs, member profiles and news mentions in its online newsletter, as well as external media channels. Combined, these FACC efforts help members expand their network and increase awareness of their activities and services within the French American community. FACC Michigan members include French companies doing business in the U.S., U.S. companies in our region doing business in and with France, professional service firms, banks, retailers, university faculty members, students and others with an enthusiasm for business and cultural events related to French-American trade. FACC Michigan is also a member of the Union des Chambres de Commerce et d’Industries Francaises a l’Etranger (UCIFFE) network.
