Tribunal de Justiça do Estado de Rondônia

A História da justiça em Rondônia tem seus primeiros registros a partir da instalação da Comarca de Santo Antonio do Rio Madeira (1912), no Estado do Mato Grosso e da Comarca de Porto Velho (1914), ainda no Estado do Amazonas. Mais tarde, documentação e atividades de Santo Antonio do Rio Madeira são transferidos para Guajará-Mirim que se estrutura a partir do ano de 1929. Assim permanece até a criação do Território Federal. Nesse período funcionavam apenas as comarcas de Porto Velho e Guajará Mirim. Com a criação do Estado de Rondônia pela Lei n. 41, de 22 de dezembro de 1981, foi também criado o Poder Judiciário, instalado no dia 4 de janeiro de 1982, e composto por sete desembargadores: Fouad Darwich Zacharias, César Soares de Montenegro, José Clemenceau Pedrosa Maia, Darci Ribeiro, Aldo Alberto Castanheira Silva, Hélio Fonseca e Dimas Ribeiro da Fonseca. Hoje o Estado conta com 23 comarcas. Em sua estrutura o Tribunal de Justiça possui 21 Desembargadores.

Trinity Cooperative Day Nursery (TCDN)

Established in 1972, TCDN is a non-profit, non-sectarian, childcare, and education organization that provides safe, nurturing, and enriching programs for children 12 months old through fifth grade. At five locations within the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, TCDN operates seven programs licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and accredited by state and national systems of quality improvement. TCDN's mission is to: Provide an atmosphere where growth and learning take place. In a homelike atmosphere of safety and trust, TCDN supports children's development by valuing individual differences, promoting self-esteem, helping children learn to live and work cooperatively, and by fostering creativity and critical thinking skills. Ensure that developmentally appropriate methods are used for each program. Through active engagement with materials in the environment, project work arising from interests, or relationships with others in the group, children make choices and teachers respond with caring, respect and inquiry to guide new learning. Arrange programs into family groupings (mixed age groups). Family grouping provides a framework for children to learn from each other in a spirit of cooperation. The sensitivity and responsibility of taking care of each other leads to increased pro-social behaviors such as sharing and helping, and resembles the comfort and security of a family. Younger children observe, emulate, and learn from the older children, while the older children are given the opportunity to express leadership and responsibility along with patience and verbal skills. Family grouping provides real contexts for children to show and strengthen their disposition to be nurturers and leaders.

COLLEGE POSSIBILITIES, LLC was founded by Rachel B. Sobel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education. She has more than 30 years of experience working with adolescents and their families as a psychotherapist, college counselor and educator. Rachel's background and experience provide her with a unique perspective on consulting with families and students with learning disabilities. Rachel regularly visits colleges around the country to meet with representatives from the Office for Students with Disabilities and college admissions counselors to learn about new programs and available resources. Additionally, she attends national and regional conferences about trends in college admissions, post-secondary programs and learning disabilities to remain current about the college search, application and admissions process.
