Boys Town Jerusalem

Boys Town Jerusalem believes that every child deserves a great education. This year we marked the 70th Anniversary of this remarkable school which has transformed the lives of nearly 7,500 young people since it was established. Admission to Boys Town Jerusalem is based purely on potential, ambition and desire to succeed and the school prides itself on never turning away a student due to lack of financial means with the majority of pupils requiring significant financial assistance to attend the school benefit from everything that it offers: - A first-call secular education, focussing on technology - Three nourishing, freshly-prepared meals each day for students - Full residential boarding facilities - Full-time professional and dedicated counselling services - One-to-one tutoring support - Dedicated special needs classes - A wide and diverse extra-curricular programme

ETNA Community Centre

A vibrant and welcoming community centre in the heart of TW1, the ETNA centre has something for everyone! Our wide range of facilities offers a huge selection of classes and activities, from fitness and exercise to workshops, music and kids’ groups. We also offer self help groups, mindfulness and meditation sessions as well as space for one to one counselling sessions. We have a variety of activities for senior citizens based at the centre. Every weekday morning the centre comes to life as The Rosslyn Nursery and Preschool runs its day care for children ages two to five. We have meeting spaces, conference and counselling rooms, a Hall which is great for children’s, anniversary or wedding parties or AGMs and functions. With kitchen facilities and free parking, and helpful friendly staff on site we are a great venue for all different events. If you want to offer a new activity or course to the local community then please get in touch. ETNA is also home to some registered charity organisations: South West London Environment Network, The Environment Trust, The Conservation Volunteers, Arts Richmond, Metropolitan Housing and Twining Enterprise.

BRISTOL BLACK CARERS

Provide culturally appropriate support and services to black and minority ethnic carers in Bristol. Bristol Black Carers aim is to empower and support young and adult carers. The issues carers face can be very complex and can cross many areas which include health conditions, accessing government services and education/employment, etc. We provide respite through the support groups, provide or give access to trips/activities/events. We are always here to listen, support, give advice and information to any carers in need. Within the black and ethnic minority communities most carers do not identify as a carer because it is considered to be a norm to care for family/friend. Bristol Black Carers would like to raise awareness of unseen carers who are suffering in silence. Once identified, the relevant support and service that is available can be offered to the carer upon their request. This will help to have a healthier and well supported community which can reduce isolation. Volunteers needed The charity is developing and we need assistance in these area to start building sustainability, income and raising the profile of the charity and its service users.

Orphans to Ambassadors

Our Mission: "Orphans to Ambassadors provides disadvantaged and orphaned children the opportunity to rise out of poverty with sustainable education and practices. The skills, knowledge, and abilities that come from developing their own long-term resource solutions empower children and allow them to become ambassadors of goodwill and sustainability to other children and communities around the world" – Jake Gentry, Founder About Us: We are a young nonprofit working with orphans and sustainable technology to create cleaner futures. Not only do the technology, education, and practices give children cleaner water and food, brighter and safer energy, and more free time to be kids, we're also creating renewable foundations in developing countries where any growth means more technology: the cleaner now the better tomorrow. What We Do: Orphans to Ambassadors is making green ideas and technology work in orphanages around the world. We've tapped nature by storing rainwater, halved energy budgets with better-burning brick stoves, and brought 10 more hours to the day for studying and play with LED Lights and small solar panels.
