The Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) is a Vietnamese non-governmental organization with the aim of promoting the volunteerism movement and increasing youth participation in sustainable development. Our mission is to empower and support youth by providing them with the skills and opportunities they need in order to become agents of sustainable change and development in their communities. Founded in 2009 in Hanoi, CSDS has been contributing to positive changes in Vietnam through youth development activities, global exchange programs and community development programs.

Resilient Cities Catalyst

Our work is anchored in knowledge gained in the development of the urban resilience movement, bringing together a diverse set of skills across government, civil society and the private sector. We believe that resilience thinking combined with courageous leadership and radical collaboration will make cities stronger, more equitable and ultimately more resilient for current and future generations. RCC will help cities identify areas of opportunities, address them through innovative design, and implement solutions. We will do this through three core program offerings: 1. Resilience Roadmaps to create enabling environments for investment and action through participatory resilience assessment and planning processes. 2. Project Incubators to design projects that maximize resilience impact, ensuring cities and communities have access to the technical, financial, and project preparation expertise required to move from concept to implementation. 3. Catalyst Labs to facilitate the next generation of solutions and create new communities of practice in the urban resilience field. Cities represent our greatest opportunity for impact, while also posing significant risks with exposure to future shocks and stresses. We hope through RCC we can work with many of you to help cities achieve the change they desperately need.

food for thought

Food For Thought is a nonprofit organization that provides lifesaving nutrition support to low-income people living with COVID-19, HIV and other serious illnesses across Sonoma County. For more than 30 years, we have engaged in service to our community to provide healthy food to our neighbors in need. A group of friends in Guerneville founded FFT in 1988 amidst the AIDS epidemic to provide groceries to our seriously ill neighbors. Over time, we have shifted our focus from providing end-of-life care to providing comprehensive nutrition services, and we have expanded our eligibility to those affected by a wide range of serious medical conditions. Food for Thought provides weekly groceries including fresh produce, whole grains, and healthy protein; vitamins and supplements and nutrition education. We deliver Sonoma county-wide to clients who are homebound or homeless.
