The Arc of Atlantic County is a private nonprofit organization that has been making a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families since its founding in 1961. Through direct services, education, advocacy and prevention activities, we work in partnership with individuals and their families to make choices possible about how and where they live, learn, play and work.

"Our clients often tell us how wonderful it is to find most of the resources for expectant and new parents integrated in one convenient location. Parents and babies come through our doors every day to access the huge selection of products we now carry, and to attend classes that range from prenatal breastfeeding and baby care to baby signing and infant CPR. They also come for expert breastfeeding help by attending one of our breastfeeding support groups for new mothers, seeing one of our lactation consultants, or discussing breastfeeding issues with our trained staff. Our goal remains the same today as when we opened a more than a quarter of a century ago. The Samaritan Center

The Samaritan Center exists to offer Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow to people in crisis in Tennessee's Eastern Hamilton County. The Center's services address the root causes of clients' situations and encourage self-sufficiency. Located in Ooltewah, Tennessee, the Samaritan Center is a nonprofit social services agency that provides emergency assistance with food, rent, prescriptions, and utilities for residents of Eastern Hamilton County. The Center also holds health events and operates a Thrift Shop, a Clearance Shop, and a Toy Connection (a used-toy shop) as ministries to the community.
