CAPC'S MISSION: To empower individuals with disabilities to maximize the quality of their lives in their home communities. CAPC Inc empowers individuals with disabilities and works with them to gain employment, assisted living arrangements, and connects them to the community by providing access to transportation, improve their communication and help them pursue higher education and strong relationships. CAPC takes pride in its community building efforts, and is well supported by local chambers of commerce, political leaders and businesses. CAPC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1984. We depend on donors to allow us to continue to provide the high quality services for which we are recognized. CAPC Believes All people have talents and capabilities. All people continue to learn and grow through their lifetime. All people can work and contribute to their community as valued members. All people should be respected and listened to. All people should be given the opportunity to make decisions and be as independent as possible. All people, regardless of the severity of their disability, can live successfully in their own home. All people should lead self-directed lives. CAPC is accredited by CARF in Community Employment Services: Job Development, Job Supports and Job-Site Training.

Vision: A not-for-profit organization, Momentum WORK, Inc., is committed to supporting people with disabilities in living their lives on their terms. Who We Are: For over 53 years, we have been committed to being leaders in practicing Person-Centered services that maximize employability, independence, and quality of life. We give people with disabilities the opportunity to realize their dreams—the hope, the confidence, and the advice to take the next step towards the life they desire. Today, our organization serves over 400 children and adults with disabilities, and has opportunities in the following programs and services:

Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT

DVCS has been helping Canberrans affected by family and domestic violence since 1988, providing emergency and long-term support services. DVCS is an inclusive service working with children, young people and adults, free of charge to everyone in need, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, immigration status or socioeconomic, religious and ethnic background. DVCS services include a 24/7 telephone crisis counselling service, access to emergency accommodation, safety planning, security upgrades, help with legal and court matters and support programs for those who've experienced or witnessed violence and those who want to stop using violence. In addition to supporting clients, our team provides education and training in relation to what family, domestic and intimate partner violence is, how to prevent it, support someone experiencing it and how DVCS engages with the ACT landscape.
