I bring with me over 18 years of experience in entrepreneurship & consulting and have expertise in designing & delivering technology-driven population-scale transformation programs and building disruptive Internet businesses.
Currently, driving strategy & operations for the Govt. of India-backed initiative to reimagine the future of digital commerce. An initiative aimed at promoting open networks for all aspects of the exchange of goods & services over a digital network, Open Network for Digital Commerce democratizes & unbundles the commerce value chain thereby enabling a transition from the current platform-centric model to an open network-based approach. ONDC would enable buyers & sellers to transact no matter what application they use to be digitally visible thereby driving deeper adoption, penetration & expansion of eCommerce.
In my last mandate with JUMO.WORLD (a FinTech platform connecting underserved markets with financial services), I was responsible for setting up the global Fin-tech’s operations in India.
In my role as the CEO of Mobike in India (the world’s largest Smart Bike-sharing company), I led the company to set up and successfully launch its operations in India. From leading government stakeholder consultation on policy, market entry approach, regulatory compliance, entity structuring, and funding, to on-ground rollout of operations, I was instrumental in building the greenfield operations for the Internet giant.
In my entrepreneurial journey, as the co-founder of Atlanta Healthcare, an air quality management company, as a pioneer in this field in India, I launched products and services to help people & businesses monitor the quality of air and help purify the same. The brand is now one of the most reputed Indian players in the air quality segment with a significant market share in the B2B segment.
In my consulting stint with Andersen/EY for over a decade, I worked closely with governments across geographies, including India, the Middle East, Africa & South East Asia, advising them on public policy and large-scale technology-driven transformations in Public Finance (Taxation), Sports & Mega Events, Citizen Identity, Financial Inclusion, Urban Mobility & Health domains. In India, I led some of the most impactful reform programs working with the Government of India including the Unique ID (Aadhaar) program, Tax reforms, and managed key accounts including the World Bank and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. A founding member of EY’s Government & Public Sector advisory team, I anchored the team’s growth from 10 to 400+ professionals.
