About
I am a clean tech startup founder and business strategist dedicated to finding elegantly simple solutions to complex challenges and developing them into commercially viable products and businesses.
With a B.Sc. in Marine Biology and Biotechnology, I understand the biological, physical and chemical characteristics of our oceans and natural environment.
I earned an MBA in Management of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship to address some of the problems and opportunities of the natural environment. Importantly, I learned where impact and profit meet.
This unique program allowed me to broaden my horizons beyond oceanography and environmental studies into product management, process ideation for product development, innovation management, traditional and cutting-edge business models, marketing and more.
I put these skillsets to work for a clean tech VC fund, where I worked with 10 portfolio companies in PV (photovoltaics), wind energy, fuels cells and other environmental early-stage start-ups on business models, market fit, value creation and more.
Founding and leading Plastic Back, an award-winning start-up in the field of plastic recycling, built on my combined environmental and business expertise to deliver a viable solution to one of the world’s biggest waste problems.
