About
An IIM Ahmedabad Gold-Medallist (Best All Rounder) who worked with Boston Consulting Group and consulted United Nations-WFP for technology driven solution for helping accurate distribution of food grains to the most marginalized social segments in the world.
There after he went on to serve as the Advisor to the 11th President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam from 2009-2015 and was closely associated with Indian Institute of Space Sciences and Technology (IIST) - a research venture of ISRO. At the highest of offices in the nation, he worked on research on futuristic technologies including nuclear power, neutrinos, astrobiology, reusable launch vehicles, hydrogen fuel, entrepreneurship, self assembling particles and increasing human longevity. These research work under Dr. Kalam included visiting and working with experts from Harvard University, MIT, University of Edinburgh, Peking University, Fermilab, NASA, DRDO, AAPI and various other national laboratories.
He has worked as an Advisor on Technology, Education and Science based issues to many governments including Chief Minister of Gujarat, Statue of Unity Project, Union Ministry of Urban Affair, Ministry of Personnal, Parliament of India (JPC), State Governments of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
He mentors Dr. Kalam Centre, which is running Kalam Digital School and the world's largest network of free libraries and impacts the education of over 250,000 children.
He has written 14 books, including three as co-author with Dr. Kalam selling over 400,000 copies in 12 languages including the #1 best seller in their categories - Reignited (Penguin), What Can I Give (Penguin), Advantage India (Harper Collins), Target 3 Billion (Penguin)
He is on the board of trustees the Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation with top 5 schools with about 12,000 students till K-12 standard and governing boards of many international and Indian educational and research initatives.
He is a regular commentator and writer in Newspapers across multiple languages - including Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Hindu, Dainik Jagran, Patrika, Economic Times. Srijan is a well known expert on education and technology across TV channels – including as an expert on Kaun Banega Crorepati (with Amitabh Bachchan), NatGeo (for Space Sciences) and all mainstream news channels in English and Hindi.
His current focus is on a next generation learning platform - Homi Lab which is an enterprise invested by some of the leading names in the industry.
