About
With over 12 years of experience in the field of genomics and translational biology, I am a Technical Application Scientist at Illumina, the global leader in DNA sequencing and array-based technologies. I support and enable the customers and partners in the AMEA region to leverage the power of Illumina's cutting-edge platforms and solutions for various applications, such as whole genome sequencing, transcriptomics, cancer mutation analysis, insert characterization, TSO500, other Library preparation and instrumentation.
My research interests and skills span across a wide range of techniques and sample types, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) on Nanopore and Illumina platforms, single cell sequencing, qPCR, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and biochemistry. I have worked on projects involving cells, tissues, FFPE, DNA, RNA, blood, and other biological materials at leading corporates and global institutions across India and Europe. I have also contributed to multiple patents and publications, and received awards for my poems and creative writing.
As a scientist and a seasoned professional, I am passionate about understanding the molecular and genetic basis of disorders and personalized medicine, and translating the scientific insights into practical and impactful outcomes. I am skilled in team management, capability development, and communication with key opinion leaders and stakeholders across diverse scientific disciplines and business platforms.
