Sashi Schaffter

About
Sashi was called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in November 2022, after achieving a Distinction on the Barrister Training Course at BPP University. She holds an LLB from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) and read for her Human Rights LLM at Queen Mary University of London. She presented her LLM thesis on "The Nexus Between Human Trafficking and Cyberspace Law" at the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime 2019.
Sashi has done extensive volunteer work in Switzerland and Bulgaria with refugees, asylum seekers and survivors and communities at risk of human trafficking. She has also coordinated workshops on the alleviation of Gender Based Violence in previously war-torn areas in Sri Lanka and presented on a number of programs and panel discussions.
Sashi has primarily worked as a research analyst and her area of expertise is the intersection between human rights and cyberspace. She is currently a General Management Apprentice at the Janashakthi Group.
