Leading Shell’s operations in Qatar is both a humbling and exciting opportunity. With a team of over 1,500 skilled professionals, we prioritise safety and innovation to meet our commitments to our partners and customers, delivering more value with less emissions.
In Qatar, we operate Pearl GTL, the world’s largest gas-to-liquids facility, on behalf of QatarEnergy. Shell also proudly collaborates as a non-operating partner on N4, one of QatarEnergy LNG’s premier LNG facilities.
In 2022, Shell was invited to participate in QatarEnergy’s North Field expansion project. This landmark project is the largest new-build LNG capacity addition globally and aligns with our net-zero goals, incorporating carbon capture and storage and solar energy to produce some of the lowest carbon LNG worldwide.
I am profoundly inspired to lead Shell’s operations in Qatar. Our contribution to making our business more carbon resilient and competitive is crucial to advancing Shell’s strategy to deliver more and cleaner energy solutions for the world.
