About
In 2012, Piumi started her HR career as an Intern, with this experience, she gained a lot of experience and explored the career by working a just six months of period for the implementation project of DASH BOARD of Silueta (Pvt) Ltd and working with their recruitment team.
She completed FCHRM and CCHRM with Distinction Passes at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka in 2012 - 2013.
After completing an internship with MAS Holdings Piumi joined Apollo Marine International (Pvt) Ltd as an HRD and Administration Executive.
Apollo Marine International (Pvt) Ltd, a limited liability company, consists of British & and Sri Lankan directorship with Board of Investment approval and in operation since 1998. Apollo Marine is one of the leading export fish processing companies and is certified by the Global Standard for Food Safety Standards.
Whilst functioning as an Executive at Apollo, Piumi covered all functions of Human Resource Management and that was the key to gaining more knowledge by experience.
Then she joined Baurs and started working attached to the HR division at A. Baur & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd in 2019 as a Senior Executive - HR and with the completion of her LL.B. she requested an internal transfer to the Legal division and in 2021 she transferred to the Legal Division as an Administration Executive. Once she took oaths as an Attorney at Law, again she re-designated as a Legal Officer in November 2022.
In education, in 2015, she completed PQHRM with a Merit Pass. Not only PQHRM but also completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Peradeniya in 2017 with a Second Class. To gain more academic knowledge in the legal practice of Sri Lanka she started her Bachelor's Degree in Law at OUSL which she completed in 2019. Finally, she completed her attorney exams in 2021 with a successful mark in the final year examination to take oaths in 2022.
Now she is a part-time lecturer at the SLTC campus and ICBT Campus and an entrepreneur in her own business while she is performing a high set of responsibilities at her current employer.
She is a highly committed person with strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and job knowledge. And the best part of her life is she has the strength to balance her life whatever she does !!
