CA(SA) Specialising in public sector auditing. Driving the mandate of the AGSA of building public confidence through auditing. I have 10 years plus experience in the proffession and these are some of the roles I play in my capacity as a Public sector auditor and coach: + Driving robust stakeholder interactions with the aim to improve the audit outcomes of municipalities, Departments, TVET colleges and public entitities. + Tabling and discussions of audit outcomes with various municipal councils and honourable HODs. + Driving the 4V strategy of the AGSA. This includes driving various initiatives including quality control, vision and values, visibility to the stakeholders, managing people and finding new ways of meeting strategic objectives of the AGSA. + one of my many passions is public speaking. I love addressing young people on setting their goals and meeting them. I love mentoring young people who are looking into joining the CA proffession. + There is no greater joy then seeing a trainee join the organisation and seeing them grow, contributing to their future through on the job coaching and mentoring. That is why I am part of many training, CSI and academic drive to ensure the organisation recruits the right people. + I have been priviledged to be part of a new special project at the AGSA in 2019. The AG saw the PAA as we know it being amended to give the AGSA "Teeth". I was part of the first group to implement from the first time, the concept of "Material Irregularities". This marks a turn around in public sector auditing as we know it. It is aimed at ensuring that consequence management is taking place where wrong-doing has been identified. + Part of my responsibilities is leading a team of 25 different individuals to ensure that we all contribute towards the same goal of driving public confidence. this role has taught me a lot about how to manage people, how to manage people's emotions, how to motivate, coach and get the right level of buy-in from individuals to meet organisational goals. this role has challenged me a lot as a person, to improve my own emotional intelligence, this remains by far the most challenging role I've taken up. + My interests and hobbies: I love music. I love going out. I love interacting with different people. I love public speaking. I love reading. I love road trips. I love making a difference and my career has ensured that I touch difference lives in so many different ways. + My motto: Never quit on yourself.....
