oversees the manufacturing processes, coordinates and supervises production personnel to meet/exceed the company’s key performance indicators (Safety, Quality, and Productivity). This includes managing optimal production equipment to produce a product that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations. This includes, but not limited to safety, equipment, production and quality, continuous improvement, for fostering a culture of employee engagement and continuous learning and development; and for ensuring an excellent customer experience through the accurate, timely, and efficient management of business processes.
Key Responsibilities include:
Ensures that goods and services are produced efficiently and are of good quality
Monitors product standards and implementing quality-control programs
Ensures that health and safety guidelines are followed
Implements and controls the production schedule/processes and adjusts as necessaryEnsures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
Leads efforts to develop, document, and implement applicable quality assurance process and clearly define and documented procedures to provide the most effective and repeatable processes within the facility in support of providing the highest quality products with minimal defects to customers
Establishes staffing plans, training plans, equipment requirements and facility layouts to ensure the production needs of the customer are met. Recommend changes required to meet future goals well in advance
Directly supervises staff by providing employee coaching, feedback, recognition and developmental coaching
Responsible for organizing and maintaining the warehouse area work space for efficiency and effectiveness (5S)
Develops and implements regular reporting metrics including: safety, quality, inventory, and labor
Supports operations to ensure timely accurate product delivery
Participates in interviewing, selecting, orientating and training new staff members
