About
As a member of a family with forty years of experience in the field of real estate development, Abdulrhman had the opportunity to see all the stages of work and the difficulties that the developers faces in the various stages of the project, from the feasibility study to the project design and construction even in the marketing process. Which made him interested in the various aspects of the project, and looking at them as one unit, integrating each of them with the other.
After, obtaining his bachelor and master degree from the L’Ecole Special D’Architecture in Paris, he experiences varied from real estate development projects, to working in several other design fields. His work in Paris in the fields of urban design at Cathala Architectes Agency and architectural design at Lina Ghotmeh office has helped him build a strong professional background in architecture. Moreover, During that period, as a member of the design teams working there, participated and won several international competitions, and were actually executed in different parts of the world. Having moved to Saudi Arabia afterwards to work as an architect at Zuhair Fayez special project’s department, he enriched his experience greatly and was challenged to design important projects in a considerably different context and culture such as: Airports, Mixed-use projects, Museums, Governmental projects, Educational projects and Residential complexes.
Since 2015 he started Kaf company, primarily focus around the promotion of adequacy, efficiency and functionality in the design and development filed. A well developed design is indeed a one that is as inspiring as innovatively engineered to its purpose. Having experience in the diverse yet closely related fields of architecture, design and engineering, help us to understand and evaluate the importance of developing a team work design strategy through out our design process. Kaf take a consistent approach to put professionals from different fields on the same design table throughout the whole process, ensuring they learn from one another and produce integrated and sustainable solutions. Our team make sure to contemplate every necessary step from analysis to concept, from realization to predicting future scenarios.
We are keen to maintain a steady interaction between architectural reflection, industrial technologies, global communication and sustainable ecosystem. Our exposure to different scales and types of projects made us have a deeper diagnose to contemporary society, especially the relation between industry and crafts, technology and nature.
