Bodegas Simbolo
Bodegas SÃmbolo is a winery born five decades ago as the result of the initiative of 59 winegrowers in Campo de Criptana. Nowadays more than 400 producers work on the development of their best-quality grapes which define the wines ranges of Simbolo, Siete Molinos and Viña Cantillos. We count on with a long experience at managing vineyards, elaborating wines and introducing new wine-making processes, setting a special emphasis in the creation of wines with high personality that reflect the potential of La Mancha and its distinctive varietal expression resulting from both the specific soil and the climatic conditions.
As said, we commercialize three different ranges of wine:
1. Simbolo. It's our main brand which comprises young wines from local varieties (Airen, Macabeo, Cencibel, Verdejo...) as well as wines made from non-native varieties but of very-well adapted grapevines (Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon). Simbolo range are single-varietal wines that have a huge personality and are certified with the protected designation of origin “La Manchaâ€. We also make red wines aged in oak barrels with different periods of maturation (Roble, Crianza and Reserva).
2. Siete molinos. They are “wines from Spain†(white, rosé, red) from local varieties.
3. Viña Cantillos. It’s a very popular range of sparkling, low-grade and semi-dry wines from Spain. White or rosé, they both count with an original and exclusive design.
We also elaborate vermouth and mistela, another kind of sweet wine very popular in the area.
