Château de Marsannay

THE ESTATE Marsannay-La-Côte is the first village north of Côte de Nuits located at the beginning of the Grands Crus Road in Burgundy. 69 out of 99 acres owned by the Château are considered as the best climats of Marsannay appellation. The estate mainly produces red wines, including 3 exceptional Premiers Crus from Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée and 4 Grands Crus : Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Echezeaux and Clos de Vougeot. We also manage the Hospices de Dijon's vineyards, located in Marsannay, Gevrey-Chambertin, Aloxe-Corton, Beaune, Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Pommard and Puligny-Montrachet. Due to the deep knowledge of the soils and modern technics, Château de Marsannay team is working on the development of its vineyard to obtain the High Environmental Value Certificate. Single vineyard vinification associated with the right balance between traditional methods and modern technology help to reveal the expression of each terroir. Wine ageing is a real haute-couture task, for which the barrel size and style are adapted to each parcel.
