Experiencing the excitement and terror of our first foaling in 1999, our passion for breeding thoroughbreds began. Nestled in the beauty and tranquillity of Lower Belford, New South Wales, our stud overlooks the stunning Hunter River and a glorious mountain range. Beginning with 3 broodmares, 6 makeshift stables and plenty of love and passion, the Beattie family has been able to develop the predominately bushland from its humble beginnings to a multi-facility stud. Stud facilities include a large sand round yard, onsite vet room and a custom built 12 stable complex, designed with a multitude of safety features. With over 10 years experience in the thoroughbred industry and over 40 years experience in the care of other horse breeds, the Beattie family brings great experience in the care and treatment of horse. Glenrae Thoroughbreds is within 2 1/2 hours drive of Sydney and 1 hour drive of Scone, proving it to be central to New South Wales' predominate horsing facilities. The Cooee Bay Trading Company culture is for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) for all genders and ages participating in on-water activities (and some land-based activities) who require marine safety equipment and additional survival education. The education and product range offered enhances individual personal safety and ultimately, survival, with a corresponding reduction of risk of accidents and incidents to the individual. Our information, service and products are designed or chosen by people, based on their experience of real-life marine rescues, delivering education programs and using reliable safety equipment. Cooee! (IPA /ku:'i:/) is a shout used in Australia, usually in the Bush, to attract attention, find missing people, or indicate one's own location. When done correctly - loudly and shrilly - a call of "cooee" can carry over a considerable distance. The word "cooee" originates from the Dharuk language, the original inhabitants of the Sydney area and means "come here", and has now become widely used in Australia as a call over distances.
