Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto

The Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences is the school, within the University of Porto, where teaching and researching in the fields of Psychology and Education Sciences is carried out. The Faculty has initiated its activities in 1980 and nearly 2000 students attend its graduate degree, integrated master, postgraduate, masters and doctoral courses, having reached a significant implementation in fields such as education, justice, health, central and local public administration, socio-cultural animation, work in companies, among others. Additionally FPCEUP provides continuing education programs that aim to answer the requirements of professional, civic and cultural training that emerge throughout life in contemporaneous societies. Beyond education, FPCEUP is engaged in research and development activities as well as in rendering services to the community through its research institutes and centres. An important role is also played by internationalization, not only due to the increasing number of projects and protocols established in partnership with foreign institutions, but also due to the increasing number of students and the exchanging of lecturers and researchers in the scope of cooperation and mobility programs. With more than 30 years of activity, FPCEUP projects itself towards the future as being more committed to an education with quality and to promote an institutional culture addressed to research and social progress.

Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde do Porto

A ESTSP, Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde do Porto, advém do Decreto-Lei n.º 175/2004, de 21 de Julho, embora as suas raízes históricas sejam bem mais longínquas. O ensino nas Áreas das Tecnológicas de Diagnóstico e Terapêutica iniciou-se no Porto nos Centros de Formação, conforme publicação em Diário da República Portaria n.º 709/80 de 23 de Setembro, passando posteriormente, a ser ministrado na Escola Técnica dos Serviços de Saúde do Porto que funcionou, como tal, desde a publicação em Diário da República do Decreto -Lei n.º 371/82 de 10 de Setembro. A evolução e desenvolvimento das Tecnologias da Saúde, quer a nível nacional quer no âmbito da União Europeia, levou à integração da formação nessas Áreas no sistema educativo nacional, ao nível do Ensino Superior Politécnico, conforme publicação em Diário da República do Decreto-Lei n.º 415/93, de 23 de Dezembro, passando a escola a designar-se Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde do Porto (ESTSP). Em Julho de 2004, a Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde foi integrada no IPP, tendo sido formalmente reconhecida como unidade orgânica do Instituto Politécnico do Porto, em 16 de Fevereiro de 2006, com a publicação da primeira alteração dos Estatutos desse Instituto (Despacho Normativo 10/2006), tendo visto os seus Estatutos a serem divulgados pelo D.R. n.º 132, Série II de 10 de Julho de 2009. Em 2007/2008, o IPP implementou na maioria dos seus cursos o modelo de graus e diplomas de acordo com os princípios subjacentes ao Processo de Bolonha (Decreto-Lei n.º 74/2006, de 24 de Março). Desde o ano letivo de 2008/2009, todas as 13 Licenciaturas são ministradas de acordo com o novo modelo e, a partir desse ano letivo, ministra 5 Mestrados.

EST/IPS

A Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Setúbal (ESTSetúbal/IPS) é uma das 5 escolas de Ensino Superior Público do Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal (IPS). Aliando qualidade a conhecimento tecnológico e científico, forma Licenciados e Mestres em cursos de Engenharia, desenvolve investigação e, cada vez mais, aposta na formação pós-graduada e contínua. Formalmente criada a 26 de Dezembro de 1979, a Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Setúbal do Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal (ESTSetúbal/IPS) entrou em funcionamento a 10 de Outubro de 1983 e iniciou a actividade de leccionação em 1988/89, tendo por objectivo formar técnicos qualificados de nível superior intermédio, em domínios tecnológicos importantes para a região onde se insere.

FEP U. Porto – Economics and Management

Established in 1953, the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP) is a reference in the field of Economics and Management regarding higher education and fundamental and applied research. FEP has pioneered the teaching of Economics and Management in Portugal and that is shown by the diversity and gauge of its programmes: FEP offers two Bachelor programmes, fifteen MSc programmes - of which four are taught in English - and two PhD programmes - also taught in English. FEP comprises 152 faculty members that combine a high academic level with great teaching ability. On top of its greater research-oriented faculty, FEP has professors with relevant practical experience, arising from managing and consulting for private and public organizations. FEP has several research centers, of which CEF.UP and LIAADD are ranked Very Good and Excellent, respectively, by FCT, the Portuguese public scientific research funding institute FEP attracts the students with the highest entry scores in Portuguese universities in the areas of economics and management and its Alumni are placed in top management positions in the most important companies and institutions in Portugal, across all industries, reflecting the privileged access to an extremely large and notorious corporate partner network. For the academic year 2014/15, a total of 2976 students were registered in FEP: 1588 BSc students, 1269 MSc students and 119 PhD students. That same year, FEP welcomed more than 300 students, coming from over 60 different countries. FEP students also use the opportunity to study abroad in the more than 100 FEP partner schools spread over 30 countries. Further, FEP belongs to QTEM Masters International Network that gathers outstanding students from 12 top economics schools worldwide. With respect to executive education, FEP is deeply involved with Porto Business School, a non-profit association between the U.Porto and some of the most representative Portuguese companies.
