Electricité De Zahlé (EDZ)

Founded in the beginnings of the 1920s, Electricité de Zahlé (EDZ) is a private energy utility headquartered in Zahlé, Beqaa – the administrative seat of the Beqaa region and the home of various touristic, cultural, and active commercial centers. EDZ generates and distributes electricity over medium and low voltage networks in the city of Zahlé and the surrounding regions in an area of around 250 km2. EDZ serves Residential, Commercial, Industrial & Agricultural customers in its designated area. This service area stretches from Kaa El Rim in the north to El Rawda in the south and from Taalabaya in the west to Ali El Nahri in the east. With the dedication and professionalism of its employees, EDZ has fulfilled its mission to provide quality and reliable energy to its customers. From its beginnings, Electricité De Zahle has always worked on introducing technical improvements to produce and deliver energy more efficiently while maintaining the quality and conforming to international standards. As of 2015, EDZ became the only company in Lebanon providing 24h/24h power to the region it services.
