MRBTA honours the traditional owners of this land, the Wadandi (Saltwater) people, and their elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the Wadandi people's 60,000-year custodianship of this special place, and we thank the them for generously sharing with us their immensely deep cultural knowledge and connection to the land. Our diverse team of over 100 employees is spread across the precious patch of earth between Busselton and Augusta. We share a common passion for the region and we are driven by a vision to produce outcomes from tourism which make it a better place to live, work and visit. Our vision is supported by a unique organisational structure which allows us to perform the functions of both: - Australia's largest Local Tourism Organisation (LTO): Acting on behalf of over 650 members, whilst providing marketing, visitor servicing and experience development to support the success of local tourism businesses. - Capes Foundation: A division of MRBTA that undertakes conservation & restoration, provides education & interpretation, and encourages enjoyment and appreciation of nature and heritage. Capes Foundation operates four caves, two lighthouses, an adventure ropes course, and cares for birds of prey at Eagles Heritage. The division also operates ground handling at Busselton Airport. MRBTA is governed by a Board of Directors and an independent Chair.

SoarAbility

SoarAbility is a privately funded endeavour that enables people with a sense of adventure, who may not be fully mobile in the conventional sense, and or who might have special needs: to enjoy the fun, freedom and exhilaration of soaring flight. Operating from purpose built facilities at Cunderdin Airfield situated approximately 2 hours drive east of Perth in Western Australia, SoarAbility utilises a tandem seated self-launching Schleicher ASK21Mi Motor Glider fitted with hand controls, and a side by side seat high performance Stemme S10V motor glider. The venture also operates a custom built full size Motor Glider simulator also fitted with hand controls. This air conditioned and mobile ground based training module faithfully replicates the actual flight and training environment and is fully wheelchair accessible.
