We design buildings for living and learning. KO&CoArchitecture is a Brisbane based architecture and design practice with a keen interest in all aspects of residential and educational design. We cater for clients who have a shared passion for design and those who are interested in the difference good design can make to a space. We pride ourselves in creating efficient responses for affordable and social housing, welcoming environments for public and educational buildings, beautifully crafted high end homes, and clever design solutions for additions and alterations. Each client has a unique brief which is deserving of a unique, considered and exceptional response. Each site has its own opportunities and constraints which need to be explored and exploited. Regardless of the project type, scale or budget, good design starts with consideration of first principle space planning. The site's environmental conditions, views, opportunities and constraints should influence the fundamentals of the design. If these fundamental principles are embedded into the design from the initial space planning stage, the built outcome will be a worthy investment into lifestyle and an enjoyable place to live, work and play. OpenScope Studio is a full-service architectural practice specializing in smart solutions to complex design problems. Our passion for creating better experiences for people through architecture is matched by our expertise in the practices, regulations, and economics of development and construction. From urban infill development and transitional housing to park pavilions, commercial interiors, and custom homes—design, craft, functionality and feasibility are the guiding measures of our work. We are advocates for livable cities, contributing to the creation of much-needed housing—at a range of affordability—while adding value for property owners. As consultants to local cities and communities, we have helped shape ADU policies and prototypes throughout the state. As architects, we design ADU solutions that make the most of our clients' properties. Across projects of every scale and typology, our approach remains the same: by first understanding the technical challenges of a site or program, we uncover opportunities and possibilities.

DeLorenzo International

DeLorenzo International opened their doors for business on October 1, 2011. With a main office in Old Town, it is a small employee-owned business specializing in landscape architecture, land planning, master planning for communities and parks and recreation, consulting services that range from land development/acquisition, traffic studies and traffic calming solutions, public/private ventures, and smart landscaping solutions for new and established landscapes that reduce maintenance cost from 50 percent or more. The firm's projects include master planned communities, park and recreational facilities such as extreme sports parks, skate parks and aquatic complexes, regional parks, and bicycle, hiking/pedestrian trails and transit related projects such as the I-125 Corridor and SR-56. They also provide landscape architectural designs for high-end community centers and rec centers, private homes, and affordable housing, enhanced streetscapes, military faciities and educational and institutional campuses. The principals of the firm have worked on a variety of project types including: urban streetscape designs and mixed-use projects; streetscape enhancements, transit facilities such as the Orange Line Depot Trolley stop and bridge studies, and the award-winning Washington & Goldfinch street enhancement.

Shaffer Landscapes, Inc.

Up to the challenge since 1985, Shaffer Landscapes designs and maintains the finest properties in Central PA from our 53-acre nursery headquarters. We're professionals: designers, landscapers, masons, carpenters, electricians, and plant experts. What you can imagine, we can make happen. What you can't imagine, we imagine for you. With a history of distinguished landscaping beginning in 1985, we use our experience and knowledge to act as stewards in steel-toed boots for your property—creating landscapes that last, and grow with those who enjoy them. We specialize in special. Turning 10 acres of empty field into a personal arboretum. Getting a 30-foot-tall bald cypress up a winding mountain lane. Building an outdoor fireplace for a family home, or an intricate waterfall for a backyard pool. Transforming the bare yard of a new construction site into a brilliant planting bed. Or even creating a master plan to accomplish all of the above for one property. Whatever it is, we do it to the highest standard. We are headquartered in a 53-acre nursery that is not only the largest of any landscaper in the Greater Susquehanna Valley, but also contains some of the most mature plants—including a variety of unique specimens. Set next to a quiet brook and graced by three ponds, the former farm property contains tens of thousands of plants, many of which are in the ground. This "plant palette" allows us to create new landscapes for our customers that are often years ahead of what others can offer in terms of maturation. Our location also hosts mountains of mulch, as well as many tons of stone, boulders, pavers and various materials for our expert construction crews.
