About
The Clifford House is an organization that serves at-risk youth in metropolitan DC through physical and life-skills training, and meaningful counseling. It was officially established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2016 after serving the local community for 17 years through the efforts of founder Anthony "Tony" Bell and local volunteers.
In 2000, Tony started The Clifford House in honor of his son who was viciously gunned down in the streets of DC a year before. Clifford's immediate death devastated his family, but it eventually motivated them to build something to help keep other families from experiencing a similar tragedy.
The Clifford House's mission is to provide on and off-site trainers, instructors, and counselors to support community youth and their families in social, academic, and athletic performance.
Our various training modules are designed to work in conjunction with area schools, churches, and other organizations to teach our children and their families to work toward their goals and aspirations while ignoring the distracting—and far too often harmful—outside influences.
