Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware

Since 1931, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children and teens across Delaware. We are the largest licensed provider of childcare in Delaware and the only statewide Boys & Girls Club in the nation. Every day girls and boys are left to find their own recreation and companionship. An increasing amount of kids are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know they have a place in their community where they can go. Clubs provide a safe haven for youth, allow them to meet with friends and be a part of positive peer groups. Club programs teach life skills, conflict resolution and focus on the development of character. Clubs also provide members with positive role models and a nurturing environment that help improve decision-making skills.

Abell Foundation Inc

The Abell Foundation is dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life in Maryland, with a particular focus on Baltimore. The Foundation places a strong emphasis on opening the doors of opportunity to the disenfranchised, believing that no community can thrive if those who live on the margins of it are not included. The Foundation is committed to being an agent of change by: *Supporting innovative efforts to solve systemic social, economic and environmental problems. *Providing research to better inform civic conversation about relevant issues. *Investing in new technologies that have the potential to benefit society.

The Recyclery Collective

The Recyclery Collective is an educational bike shop that promotes sustainability by giving access to tools, skills and opportunities for collaboration. We envision a diverse, resilient neighborhood filled with knowledgeable, self-reliant cyclists. Our Values Collaboration: We create opportunities for people of all backgrounds to work, share, and learn together to support a practical form of transportation. Social Justice: We provide tools and resources to empower underserved populations and nurture community leaders. Ecological Sustainability: We encourage the mindful use of resources and promote cycling as a part of building more resilient communities. Celebrating Everything We Do: We like to have fun while working hard to make bicycles and mechanics accessible. Our Structure The Recyclery is a 501c3 non-profit. All major decisions are made by a quorum of collective members at a twice-a-month meeting. Decisions are made by consensus and the collective is open to anyone willing to put in the time and effort to fulfill collective entry requirements. A few staff members are paid for administrative tasks, fixing bikes for sale, and teaching classes. Regular volunteers fix bikes that we give away and help during Open Shop.

14+ Foundation, Inc. was co-founded in 2012 in New York City, USA by philanthropist and construction industry leader Joseph Mizzi and native Zambian Nchimunya Wulf to develop and build schools and orphanages for African children in rural communities. Our first project is the Chipakata Children's Academy.
