Heart of Alabama Food Bank

The mission of the Heart of Alabama Food Bank, formerly Montgomery Area Food Bank, is to nourish those facing hunger by educating and mobilizing the community, engaging in partnerships that advance self-sufficiency, and gathering then distributing food and other necessities across 35 Alabama counties. Since 1986, the Montgomery Area Food Bank (MAFB) has fought hunger and poverty by distributing food and other necessities to over 800 Partner Agencies in 35 of Alabama's 67 counties. We currently reach out to more than 330,000 individuals annually, providing more than 20 million pounds. Those we reach include children, seniors, the unemployed, low-pay working families, the homeless and disadvantaged, and disaster victims. Through this food network, our Partner Agencies provide free food to needy individuals and families by distributing groceries and hosting on-site feeding programs or Meals on Wheels programs. Our distribution system takes food that otherwise would have gone to waste and provides it to people who struggle to make ends meet, often choosing between food and other necessities such as medications and utilities.

Mat-Su Health Foundation

The mission of the Mat-Su Health Foundation is to improve the health and wellness of Alaskans living in the Mat-Su. We offer financial and strategic support to well-managed 501(c)(3) organizations that offer services and practical solutions to significant health-related problems impacting the citizens of the Mat-Su Borough.

International Samaritan

Our mission is to walk hand-in-hand with people in garbage dump communities, along with those with a calling to help, to break the chains of poverty and to improve our lives together. International Samaritan is an international nonprofit dedicated to raising the standard of living in garbage dump communities. For 25 years, we have worked to change the lives of the most vulnerable people in the world through a unique blend of hands-on service and advocacy work. International Samaritan was founded in 1994 by Father Don Vettese, S.J. On a school trip to Guatemala, Father Vettese's group was diverted from their route due to traffic and drove through the garbage dump community instead. Father Vettese was horrified by what he saw and pledged to do something about it. That chance encounter led to the creation of International Samaritan. All these years later, International Samaritan has grown beyond Guatemala, and our mission is carried out by people across many nations and faiths. International Samaritan serves the poor in eight communities and seven countries, including Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. We gained consultative status with the United Nations in 2011. Our United States office is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We follow Christ by walking and working with all people.

Include Youth

Include Youth is a rights-based charity for young people in or leaving care, from disadvantaged communities or whose rights are not being met to improve their personal development, promote good relations and develop employablity. We influence public policy in the areas of youth justice and youth employment. All our work is underpinned by the voice of children and young people, evidence-based practice and international children's rights. We are the proud official charity partner of Ulster Rugby for the next two seasons.
