Stichting Zonnebank

De energievoorziening van de stad Breda kan duurzamer worden opgewekt, door op grotere schaal zonnepanelen in te zetten. Toch valt het in de praktijk niet altijd mee om op de grote daken zonnepanelen te leggen. Dat heeft alles te maken met financiering, fiscale aspecten, wettelijke regelingen etc. Het wordt al gauw ondoorzichtig en lastig. En dan kan de moed in de schoenen zakken en wordt een kansrijk dak een ‘laat-maar-zitten-dak'. Dat willen we voorkomen; er liggen nog zoveel daken onbenut in Breda. Een geweldig potentieel voor groene energie! De Bredase energiecoöperaties hebben dit in de praktijk ervaren en hebben, ondersteund door de gemeente Breda, hun krachten gebundeld in de Stichting Zonnebank om dakeigenaren te ondersteunen met al het regelwerk dat nou eenmaal vooraf gaan aan het realiseren van een perfect draaiend systeem. Doelstelling van De Zonnebank is dan ook om eigenaren van grotere daken (scholen, sportverenigingen, bedrijven, VVE's e.d.) te helpen met alle ontwikkelwerk dat nodig is om een zonnesysteem op het dak te krijgen. De Zonnebank is een onafhankelijke Stichting en werkt zonder winstoogmerk en richt zich uitsluitend op het ontwikkelen van sluitende business cases voor dak eigenaren. Als sprake kan zijn van participatie door bewoners, heeft dat onze voorkeur.
