SMP CZ

Dne 1. ledna 1953 byl u n. p. Stavby silnic a železnic Praha zřízen Speciální závod pro inženýrské konstrukce z předpjatého betonu. Po reorganizaci podniku se jako závod 2 n. p. Stavby silnic a železnic podílel na významných komunikačních stavbách a rozvoji mostních technologií. K osamostatnění pod novým názvem Stavby mostů Praha došlo k 1. 4. 1990 a od 5. 5. 1992 je podnik akciovou společností. První rok nového tisíciletí byl i rokem změny názvu akciové společnosti Stavby mostů Praha na SMP CONSTRUCTION, a. s. podle rozhodnutí představenstva. Změna názvu nebyla pouze formální, souvisela s rozšířením nabídky stavebních činností, realizovaných společností. Dnem 1. 8. 2005 byla v rámci squeeze - out (získání 100 % vlastnictví mateřskou společností VINCI) zrušena firma SMP CONSTRUCTION, a. s. a její majetek převzala firma SMP CZ, a. s. V současné době patří naše společnost podle statistických údajů mezi patnáct nejvýznamnějších stavebních společností v ČR. Jediným akcionářem SMP CZ, a. s. je skupina VINCI divize Construction. Cílem společnosti SMP CZ, a. s. bylo rozšíření portfolia své stavební činnosti o nové obory - konkrétně stavby vodohospodářské, podzemní a průmyslové.
