Columbus Gives Back makes volunteering fun, easy, engaging, and memorable. We connect young professionals to each other and to our community 💙 We coordinate group volunteer events with local non-profits, organize happy hours to support non-profit partners, and participate in other philanthropic events. Don't forget about our social twist: to have fun with all volunteers after each event! Columbus Gives Back has a mission to create a culture of community engagement in Central Ohio.

The Recyclery Collective

The Recyclery Collective is an educational bike shop that promotes sustainability by giving access to tools, skills and opportunities for collaboration. We envision a diverse, resilient neighborhood filled with knowledgeable, self-reliant cyclists. Our Values Collaboration: We create opportunities for people of all backgrounds to work, share, and learn together to support a practical form of transportation. Social Justice: We provide tools and resources to empower underserved populations and nurture community leaders. Ecological Sustainability: We encourage the mindful use of resources and promote cycling as a part of building more resilient communities. Celebrating Everything We Do: We like to have fun while working hard to make bicycles and mechanics accessible. Our Structure The Recyclery is a 501c3 non-profit. All major decisions are made by a quorum of collective members at a twice-a-month meeting. Decisions are made by consensus and the collective is open to anyone willing to put in the time and effort to fulfill collective entry requirements. A few staff members are paid for administrative tasks, fixing bikes for sale, and teaching classes. Regular volunteers fix bikes that we give away and help during Open Shop.

Legacy Institute

Legacy Institute is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, founded in 1999, that seeks to improve the quality of life of people everywhere, both spiritually and physically. Legacy Institute seeks to serve and help mankind in the spirit and example of Lord Jesus the Messiah. His instructions were to freely give. This means without discrimination and without prejudice. Legacy supports existing educational, cultural, and humanitarian programs, mainly in developing countries, that exemplify this "give principle of life". Legacy also seeks to initiate new projects that reflect this fundamental, universal principle. Legacy Institute is organized as a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation and is chartered by the State of Texas. All board members of Legacy Institute are Sabbath observing Christians. The vast majority of funding for Legacy Institute comes from individuals who believe in giving to others as a way of life. Support also comes from foundations, corporations, and individual church congregations that want to make a difference in the lives of others.
