We believe that each individual has a basic right to control his/her reproductive life. Individual control will lead to a better quality of life and stronger families and communities. Reproductive health decisions must be voluntary and private. Our Vision of the Future At the Virginia League for Planned Parenthood, we envision a future where there is universal understanding and support for the right of each person to responsibly manage his/her sexual and reproductive health. Women's freedom, equality and health will be enhanced by access to a full range of family planning options. When the right to family planning is accepted as fundamental and mainstream, there is the potential for each woman to fulfill her own dreams. We envision a future where laws will guarantee these rights and ensure access to quality health care, education and advocacy services. These services will be readily available in safe settings that preserve and protect the privacy and rights of each individual regardless of income, age, marital status, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation. VLPP will work collaboratively with a broad coalition of schools, organizations, parents, elected officials, and policy makers to encourage and promote strong families and communities. We will work with our partners to create a future where laws and funding will be based on the health needs of individuals and the desire to achieve positive health outcomes. In this climate, policy makers will embrace prevention initiatives, and there will be broad support for family planning, sexuality education, and freedom of choice.

The Charles Koch Foundation was established in 1980 by Charles G. Koch in order to advance social progress and well-being through the study and advancement of economic freedom. Through the Foundation’s history, it has supported the study of economic freedom through grant giving and support for professional education programs. Through its giving, the Foundation primarily supports research and higher education programs that analyze the impact of free societies, in particular how they advance the well-being of mankind. Building on this knowledge, the Charles Koch Foundation fosters the partnership of scientists and practitioners in order to integrate theory and practice. Foodlink is a Feeding America food bank serving Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties. For more than 40 years, we have leveraged the power of food to transform lives, end hunger and build healthier communities. Through good stewardship, innovation and collaboration, Foodlink mobilizes a diverse network of partners and stakeholders to eradicate both the symptoms and root causes of hunger. Our suite of food access programs provides new access points to nutritious and affordable food in underserved communities. Our team of nutrition educators empowers people at risk of diet-related illness with the skills and knowledge to make healthy choices. Our food banking operations distribute millions of pounds of food to a network of hundreds of member agencies throughout our service area. The Foodlink Community Kitchen prepares and delivers thousands of meals daily for Rochester children, supports our regional agricultural economy by slicing locally grown apples, and hosts a one-of-a-kind career empowerment program to train individuals with barriers to employment for careers in the regional food industry. At Foodlink, we envision a future in which food is recognized as a human right, and every person is able to feed themselves and their families in dignity.
