Today, still a family owned business, aluminium cast plates remain at the heart of alimex, complimented by the introduction of precision CNC machined aluminium components in 2002.
Our industry leading production facilities comprise of heat treatment, horizontal and circular band saws, large plate milling machines, CMM inspection equipment, automated stock handling and manufacturing ERP software.
As one of the UK’s largest stockists of cast plates and blocks, including standard and non standard sizes and thicknesses (both metric and imperial sizes), we offer fast, efficient cutting & delivery services. In addition we provide precision cut to size services directly from our UK facilities, again ensuring a professional and efficient turnaround on client requirements.

alimex manufacture complex precision CNC Machined components, effectively, competitively without compromising on quality, all within our cutting edge production facilities. Specialising in the production of short / medium runs, offering proactive support and development to assist with design, prototype development and manufacture.
Using the latest technology and CAD software, our teams are able to manage advanced geometry. We have a comprehensive range of 2, 3 and 5 Axis CNC Milling Machines to accommodate large aluminium components up to 4500 x 3000 x 1000mm. Our CNC turning capacity includes semi-automated and manual machines with a maximum turning diameter of 1400mm x 800mm with CMM equioment effectively measuring componts 2000 x 4000mm.
