Exogen Biotechnology, Inc.

Exogen Biotechnology is a Berkeley-based healthcare startup dedicated to quantifying DNA damage and assessing cellular DNA repair capacities. Over 40% of the US population will be diagnosed with cancer and doctors desperately need a way to identify at risk cancer patients and stratify cancer patients for various treatment options. Exogen Bio has developed a technology capable of identifying novel DNA prognostic markers that allows clinicians to better prevent and treat cancer.

Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute

For many forms of childhood cancer, we’ve seen little to no advancement in treatment options for over thirty years. To overcome this stalemate, cc-TDI is embarking upon a bold scientific course of discovery to create more effective clinical trials for those childhood cancers that are most in need of treatments to save kids’ lives. Our research team is exploring and testing state-of-the-art treatment options for the most urgent issues facing children with cancer. By proving these methods in the laboratory, we can deliver smart, hope-filled discoveries to be prioritized in clinical trials for kids. Working in our own freestanding research institution allows us to act swiftly and nimbly to achieve results—bringing cost control, speed, purpose, and focus to translate effective treatments into the clinic. To get there, we perform basic science and translational research in our lab nestled between the medical center and the Silicon Forest.

Enventure is growing Houston's life science innovation community. Our programming empowers students and aspiring entrepreneurs to engage the startup community and launch their own startups. To support our vision of a thriving life science startup community, we build programs that bridge the institutions of the Texas Medical Center (the largest medical center in the world) & the Greater Houston community. These programs connect students & professionals in fields including (but not limited to) the life sciences, medicine, business, engineering, and computer science. Our grassroots non-profit organization is free + open, healthcare focused, and community driven.
