Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project

The Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project-Proyecto de Ayuda para Trabajadores del Campo y Jardineros-FLAP’s mission is to improve working conditions and opportunities for low-wage workers and their households in the cannery, farms, greenhouse, landscaping, meat, nursery, packinghouse, poultry, restaurants, and snow plowing industries. The organization carries out its mission through advocacy, community outreach and education, legal services, community legal education, information and referrals, partnering with other organizations to fight human labor trafficking, preventing family separations by helping immigrants secure dual citizenship for their children and facilitating access to technology and cash transfers to very low-income populations. FLAP provides these services free of charge and without regard to immigration status.

Covenant House Illinois

Located on the west side of Chicago, Covenant House Illinois provides youth (ages 18-24) experiencing homelessness with shelter and safety, trust and community, and a better tomorrow.

At LINK Unlimited Scholars, our mission has always centered on advancing educational equity by supporting students who have been historically underrepresented in higher education. Since our founding in 1966, we have been driven by a mission to connect Black students with resources and opportunities that strengthen the necessary skills to succeed as they advance to, through, and beyond college. That commitment remains at the heart of our mission. Today, our Scholar community continues to reflect this legacy, with the vast majority of students identifying as Black while others identify with more than one racial background, including Latino/a, White, Asian, and Other.

National Commission on Correctional Health Care

NCCHC's mission is to improve the quality of health care in jails, prisons and juvenile confinement facilities. With support from the major national organizations representing the fields of health, mental health, law, and corrections, NCCHC’s leadership in setting standards for health services is widely recognized. Building on that foundation, NCCHC offers a broad array of resources to help correctional health care systems provide efficient, high quality care. Major activities include an accreditation program, educational conferences and resources, publications, professional certification, and more.

American Society for Surgery of the Hand

The American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) is the oldest medical specialty society in the United States devoted entirely to continuing medical education related to hand surgery. The mission of the ASSH is to advance the science and practice of hand and upper extremity surgery through education, research and outreach.
