L'entreprise Huet & Simon Bois est une entreprise industrielle située au cœur des Ardennes belges. Elle est active dans le secteur bois. Elle produit et commercialise une gamme complète en bois ronds (de la grume de sciage aux rondins fraisés). L'entreprise assure l'ensemble de son cycle de production: de la forêt aux travaux... Nous exploitons par nos soins les forêts de résineux situées dans les Ardennes belges. Nous acheminons les bois sur nos sites industriels de Manhay et Bourcy où se déroulera l'usinage des bois (découpe, pelage, calibrage et traitement). L'entreprise dispose dès lors de ses propres machines forestières (ébrancheuse, débardeur, porteur) et de ses propres camions (grumier). Ses sites industriels s'étendent sur plus de 5 hectares à Manhay (B-6960) et 2 hectares à Bourcy (B-6600). L'entreprise engage 35 personnes (employés administratifs, forestiers, opérateurs industriels, chauffeurs, mécaniciens). Elle a un chiffre d'affaires qui avoisine les 10 millions d'euro. Sa production est exportée à hauteur de 70% (Irelande, Angleterre, France, Pays-Bas, Allemagne, Italie, Espagne et Afrique). Huet & Simon Bois se revendique comme le "spécialiste du bois rond". Elle est outillée pour répondre à n'importe quelle demande en bois ronds. Ses produits classiques sont très variés: grume de sciage, bois de soutènement, étançon, piquets de clôtures, tuteurs d'arbre, bois de charpente, bois de bardage (demi-ronds), poteaux de ligne ainsi que tous bois calibrés destinés à la construction d'aménagement de jardin ou autres (barres équestres).

AUSTimber 2012 is the largest forestry and timber expo in the Southern Hemisphere showcasing the latest in technology, machinery, products and services for the industry. AUSTimber 2012 is the world's only combined softwood and hardwood plantation expo. AUSTimber 2012 will be conducted in a single location in the forest, only 15kms from the city of Mount Gambier, the centre of the largest plantation forest area in Australia.
