Cape Technical School of Engineering

Cape Technical School of Engineering was initially conceived to fill an urgent need for well-equipped automation technicians in the Western Cape, South Africa. We have subsequently separated our Gap Year programme and potential qualification intentions. New Cloud Academy are continuing to offer a range of engineering Gap Year courses in Somerset West. The intended engineering qualifications, including the provisionally endorsed Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, are being developed by the new private university, STADIO Multiversity, under leadership of Dr Karin Wolff.

All our editors have their own PhD degrees! Our first aim is to ensure good grammar, because good grammar is associated with good science, and vice versa. Microsoft Word is an excellent product. We use additional, world-class, grammar checking software to correct the grammar. Research has shown that people remember just one, two or three facts, figures or tables from each publication read. Obviously, the more memorable publications, will be cited more frequently. Our second aim is to make your writing more memorable. The reader will understand and remember your work when written with clarity and grace. We have developed our propriety software, to improve your text for clarity and grace. This is done by rewording into the active voice where possible, removing jargon and meaningless words, improving parallelism, etc. Each sentence is rephrased, where necessary, to put the important facts, in the stress part of the sentence. In addition to the above-mentioned issues of grammar, clarity and grace, we also edit for consistency, sequential numbering of figures and tables, presence of each figure and table. We check that each reference in the text is in the list of references, and that each reference in the list of references, is in the text. We check for the definition of each abbreviation, repeated definition of each abbreviation, consistent formatting of headings, and consistency in the legends of figures and tables. Your manuscript is checked for several more issues, to ensure a high technical standard.
