Daily Bread Food Bank

Daily Bread Food Bank works toward long-term solutions to end hunger and poverty and runs innovative programs to support individuals living on low incomes and experiencing food insecurity. Daily Bread distributes fresh and shelf-stable food and fresh-cooked meals to 128 member agencies and 193 food programs across Toronto. Daily Bread also publishes the influential Who's Hungry report — an annual survey measuring trends in food insecurity and poverty in Toronto — to educate the public and spark policy change.

Elizabeth Fry Toronto

Elizabeth Fry Toronto delivers gender-based, trauma informed services and advocates for justice and equity for women and non binary people who are criminalized and their families. We advocate for alternatives to the criminal justice system and raise awareness about systemic oppressions that put women and gender diverse individuals in conflict with the law. We envision communities where women are not criminalized. We lead with: Compassion, by honoring women’s voices, experiences and resilience. We prioritize mental, spiritual, physical and emotional health. ​Equity & Inclusion, we are a feminist organization and we challenge oppression in all its forms. Excellence, by fostering a collaborative culture based on self-reflection, continuous learning, effective partnerships, quality improvement and evidence-based practices. Accountability, by being responsible to ourselves and our stakeholders. We use resources appropriately, communicate honestly and act with integrity.

Red Door Family Shelter

Our Vision: Ending family homelessness one family at a time. Our Mission: The mission of the Red Door Shelter is to end homelessness for each family that comes through our doors by providing safe, temporary refuge and critical services to support them in healing, rebuilding their lives and integrating back into a community. Our Values: As we strive to achieve our vision and mission we are committed to: Quality - providing high-quality, client-centred programs and working towards continuous improvement on behalf of the children and families we serve. Caring - serving our families with respect, dignity, empathy and compassion, and celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of each individual. Advocacy - working towards ending the cycles of violence and poverty through advocacy and empowerment of our clients. Collaboration - building effective relationships among clients, volunteers, donors and staff, and seeking opportunities to form partnerships with the broader community. Integrity - delivering accessible, flexible, and transparent services while acting with integrity in a professional, ethical, non-judgmental, honest manner at all times. Accountability - measuring, achieving, and reporting results and using funder and donor dollars wisely.
