MDRU - Mineral Deposit Research Unit

MDRU is an industry-funded research group established at The University of British Columbia to provide mineral exploration research, education, and professional training to the industry. We have expertise in gold deposits, porphyry copper systems, regional metallogeny, and the development of exploration tools, technologies and strategies. We have research initiatives in the fields of geometallurgy, exploration geochemistry, tailings and CO2 mineralization. We are global, with projects around the world and a diversity of industry partners and collaborators. We accomplish research and training objectives with a team of experienced researchers, graduate students and contributing UBC faculty members. MDRU is the home of the Exploration Geochemistry Initiative (EGI), and collaborates broadly across UBC including with BRIMM (Bradshaw Research Institute in Minerals and Mining), ICaRN (International Caving Research Network) and the UBC Geophysical Inversion Facility (GIF). Dolly Varden Silver Corp.

Dolly Varden Silver Corp. is a mineral exploration company focused on advancing its 100% held Kitsault Valley Project located in the southern tip of the Golden Triangle of BC, Canada. The 163 sq. km. project hosts the high-grade silver and gold resources of Dolly Varden and Homestake Ridge along with the past producing Dolly Varden and Torbrit silver mines. The combined project consolidates the highly mineralized Kitsault Valley Trend along with seven precious metal deposits thereby transitioning the Company’s 100% silver project to a project with 50/50 silver and gold resources measured by value.
