Epiodyne was founded to develop breakthrough small molecule medicines based upon novel insights into GPCR receptor pharmacology that were uncovered by leading researchers at UCSF, Stanford and Duke. Together with our founders and with the highly experienced medicinal chemistry team at R2M Pharma (https://www.linkedin.com/company/r2m-pharma/), we are using quantitative pharmacological and behavioral techniques to translate our insights into novel medicines for patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). We are backed by a syndicate of experienced biotech VCs and located in the Bay Area.

GlyCardial Diagnostics

GlyCardial Diagnostics is a spin-off company of the Catalan Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICCC) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) focused on the development of a novel in vitro diagnostic device for myocardial ischemia. The technology is based on the detection of Apo J-Glyc in blood as a biomarker for the early diagnosis of cardiac ischemia and the prediction of patient's evolution after an ischemic event. GlyCardial Diagnostics was created by scientists Lina Badimon, Judit Cubedo, Teresa Padró and Gemma Vilahur. The company is located at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona. In 2014, it was recognised as one of the most original, impactful technology projects in Spain in the MIT Technology Review awards for innovators under 35.

European Lead Factory

The European Lead Factory unites bright ideas, talent, and experience. The aim is to seed new drug discovery programmes by connecting high quality compounds to innovative drug targets. The European Lead Factory is a collaborative public-private partnership aiming to deliver innovative drug discovery starting points. Hosting the Joint European Compound Library and the European Screening Centre, the EU Lead Factory gives free access to up to 500,000 novel chemical compounds and a unique industry-standard high throughput screening platform.
