CDCH - The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home

As a leading animal rescue charity in the Cotswolds we have cared for thousands of abandoned, abused and neglected animals. We rescue them from sometimes unimaginable conditions, find them new families and ensure they have a loving home for the rest of their lives. We also provide access to veterinary services for the most vulnerable animals in our community, ensuring no animal is left untreated because of cost. In September 2016 we opened our new rehoming centre in Cam, Gloucestershire. We provide 24/7 care and at full capacity can take in 36 cats and 27 dogs.

Community Security Trust

Community Security Trust (CST) is a UK-based charity that protects British Jews from antisemitism and related threats. CST received charitable status in 1994 and is recognised by the Police and Government as a unique model of best practice. CST works across the Jewish community, from the most religious to the most secular, young to old, across the political spectrum and throughout the whole of the UK. We depend on our valued relationships with all Jewish community organisations to do our work facilitating Jewish life. CST provides security advice and support at no cost to any person in charge of Jewish schools, synagogues and other communal organisations or buildings in the UK. This includes advice regarding the physical security of Jewish buildings, protection of Jewish events and security training for people working in the Jewish community. CST works closely with police at local, regional and national levels to help protect Jewish communities. This includes joint patrols in Jewish areas, training classes and exercises, exchange of antisemitic incident data and numerous advisory roles. CST works with Members of Parliament and regularly meets representatives to discuss antisemitism, racism, extremism and terrorism. CST featured prominently in the 2006 and 2015 reports of the All-Party Parliamentary Inquiry into Antisemitism. CST believes that building better relations across communities is key to reducing prejudice and bigotry of all forms. CST uses its expertise to make practical contributions across society. This includes our having given security advice to Hindu Temples, Sikh Gurdwaras, Churches and Mosques around the UK. CST helped in the creation of Tell MAMA, a Muslim community initiative to measure and combat anti-Muslim hate crimes.

BreastfeedLA

Breastfeed LA is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of infants and families through education, outreach, and advocacy to promote and support breastfeeding. BreastfeedLA (formerly known as the Breastfeeding Task Force of Greater Los Angeles) formed in 1994 by a group of dedicated volunteers who wanted to make a difference in the breastfeeding rates in Los Angeles County. BreastfeedLA incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation in September of 2001.

Save Barnegat Bay

Save Barnegat Bay's mission is to restore and protect Barnegat Bay and its ecosystem. We advance our mission by being a strong and independent voice for the Bay throughout the watershed, including all of Ocean and part of Monmouth Counties. We do this through effective educational programs and targeted advocacy campaigns that engage over 2,100 Save Barnegat Bay members who cherish the Bay as a natural, recreational, and economical resource for the community and all of New Jersey. The success of our educational programs and advocacy campaigns are the result of our strong connection to the Bay, environmental expertise, ability to collaborate with other organizations, and credibility as a 44 year community-based nonprofit organization with a record of accomplishment. Our members and donors generously support the work of Save Barnegat Bay, giving us flexibility and a strong foundation from which to grow.

XRCVC (Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged)

About Started in 2003 as a part of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, the XRCVC is a national support and advocacy centre working to create an inclusive society. Mission The XRCVC's aim is to ensure that vision loss or impairment only remains a physical condition which can be overcome rather than go on to become a disability for the visually challenged. Description The Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) is an integral part and department of St. Xavier's College - Autonomous, Mumbai The XRCVC was started in 2003 as an effort to ensure an inclusive environment at St. Xavier's College, one of the most well-known educational institutions in the country, for its students with blindness and low vision. Having created an inclusive set up for its own students, keeping with the college's long tradition of creating social impact within the larger community, the XRCVC has today become a national advocacy and support centre for the blind and low vision across the city and the country. "St. Xavier's College, Mumbai is noted for having a nurturing atmosphere for those differentially challenged. With the initiative of Dr. Sam Taraporevala, we have also decided that our visually challenged students should not be on the wrong side of the digital divide and so we offer them the best of technological advances as a resource for development. We remain committed to giving the best to our students and even exploring possibilities of opening up the facilities to other colleges."
