eVidyaloka Trust

As a not for profit organisation registered under the Trusts act, the aim of eVidyaloka is to transform the rural educational landscape of India. The eVidyaloka model addresses the top two chronic challenges hampering education in rural parts of our country – teacher shortage and teaching quality. Leveraging technology, it brings together an ever-growing network of global volunteers and an ecosystem of local community partners to provide quality education to students in rural and remote parts of the nation. eVidyaloka currently focuses on children in the age group of 10-14 (5th to 8th grade) and delivers enriching learning experiences in their native languages through multi-modal programs. It is a delivery model which is scalable, replicable and sustainable, developed with a strong conviction in the empowerment of rural communities through equity in education. As of today, we run 310 digital schools and 265 digital classrooms across 11 states in India. With a 4000 strong network of passionate volunteers from across the glove, we have benefitted over 25 lac (2.5 mn) students by delivering over a million child learning hours.

St Joseph's College of Commerce (Autonomous)

St. Joseph’s College of Commerce (SJCC) was formerly a part of St. Joseph’s College established in the year 1882. The College management was later transferred to the Jesuits. The Commerce Department was established in the year 1949 and it became an independent college with its own building at Brigade Road in 1972. The College has in its Vision a model for higher education which encourages individuals to dream a socially just world and in its Mission a strategy to empower individuals in realizing that dream. With its objective of imparting quality education in the field of Commerce and Management, SJCC has been innovating in all aspects of higher education over a long period of time. Its academic excellence is duly accredited with ‘five stars’ by the UGC in the year 2000, the status of Autonomy it was granted by UGC in 2005, followed by an ‘A’ grade in 2007 and the declaration of ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ in 2010. The College has maintained its consistency with ‘A’ grade during its third accreditation cycle in the year 2012. SJCC is ranked 55th by NIRF in 2018 and 9th by the India Today Rating of MDRA, 2018.
