Word Wishes
The concept of Word Wishes was established in October 2012 while I was studying for my master's degree. During this period, I was required to read and write a lot of scientific papers. Since English is my second language, reading and writing papers in English was difficult and time consuming, so I decided to create a tool that would help me accomplish this faster.
When you face a problem, you have to try your best to solve the issue with an efficient solution. Searching for words online is rigorous and a time waster. Word Wishes can solve this problem and look up, define, and translate any amount of words with a click of a button. Word Wishes is a concept thought of by a student for students all around the globe.
I first built the basic version of Word Wishes in 7 days and wa-lah! I was able to easily and more efficiently finish my paper. I placed the alpha product on my website and forgot about it when I started looking for work. I checked back after a while...
To my surpise people were actually using and sharing it!
I received feedback and encouragement from both teachers and students. Not long after, I met Yuming at a front-end developer conference and we started to work on customer cases together. Then, by chance, I met Charles who was tempoarily residing in Taiwan. We got together and decided to proceed with rebuilding the Word Wishes alpha version and launch it globally.
Our goal is to help students simply studying with an English Learning Platform. We want to help make learning English fun for everyone around the globe. We'd like to thank everyone for their support.
