National LGBTQ+ Bar Association

The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association is a national association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals, law students, activists and affiliated lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer legal organizations. The LGBTQ+ Bar promotes justice in and through the legal profession for the LGBTQ+ community in all its diversity.

Joyce Preschool

Joyce Preschool is a bilingual (Spanish-English), nonprofit preschool that prepares whole families for success in school and lifelong learning. El Preescolar Joyce es una escuela bilingüe que ofrece educación temprana — con calidad — a los niños y sus familias. Joyce serves children ages 3-5 and their families. We are nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and 4-Star Parent Aware. Our research-based approach emphasizes kindergarten readiness and the importance of parent involvement. Joyce classrooms are balanced with equal numbers of Spanish- and English-speaking students and teachers so kids have peer and adult role models in both their native language and second language. Joyce also serves families through parent support and involvement, family literacy, parent-child classes for caregivers and children ages 2-4, and Spanish-immersion summer camps for children ages 3-8. Deaf Services Center, Inc.

Deaf Services Center (DSC) is the largest non-profit organization serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the great state of Ohio. DSC provides community centers in the northwest, Central, and southeast regions along with offering interpreting and Speech-To-Text services throughout Ohio and neighboring states such as Michigan and Kentucky. Languages provided by DSC Community Interpreting & Translation services include but not limited to: American Sign Language (ASL), Spanish, French, Somali, Japanese, Mandarin and Nepali. DSC also provides community advocacy, case management, education, Information and Referral, American Sign Language (ASL) Classes, Deaf Youth Programming and Camps, Kids of Deaf Adults (KODA) Programming, Regional Infant Hearing Program (RIHP), Deaf Equipment Modification Program (DEMP) and Employment Services. DSC is a CARF accredited facility in the state of Ohio.

Clean Lakes Alliance

Clean Lakes Alliance is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement and protection of the lakes, streams, and wetlands in the Yahara River Watershed. Through community support, advocacy, and education, we are working to restore and protect our lakes. Our goal is to raise community awareness of the issues facing the watershed, advocate for the welfare of our lakes, and help procure the necessary funding to clean and protect these waterways. We work closely with state, county, local government agencies, waterway user groups, businesses, and community nonprofits to serve as both a positive voice for the promotion of our cherished lakes and a fundraising vehicle for achieving these ends.

Berks County Community Foundation

Berks County Community Foundation was founded in 1994 to help individuals, families, organizations and businesses achieve their charitable objectives. Since that time, the foundation has grown to manage hundreds of charitable funds. Each year, the funds distribute millions of dollars in scholarships and grants to support local students and nonprofit organizations and causes.
