Computing Systems Laboratory (CSLab), NTUA

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the leading and most prestigious Technical University in Greece. The Computing Systems Laboratory is one of the largest research laboratories in the Computer Science Department of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NTUA. The lab is also a member of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of NTUA. It employs experienced staff in administration, training, consulting and development covering aspects of high performance computing and networking, which are most willing to offer their specialised services to the academic research community and to external customers seeking computational power. The lab has large involvement and participation in several national and European research projects.

Biomedical Engineering Laboratory - ICCS - NTUA

The Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) was founded in 1992. The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory (BEL), which is established in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA, completed, in 2017, twenty seven years of scientific activity. BEL assumed the presidency of e-Health Forum 2014, which was organized under the auspices of the Greek EU Presidency in cooperation with the European Commission, and was one of the founders of HL7 Hellas. These activities cover a wide range of Basic and Applied Research in specialized Biomedical Engineering fields, focusing on the development of applicable end-products. The main research areas of BEL's expertise include: Medical Data Management Systems, Medical Informatics, Telemedicine, Biorheology - Clinical Hemorheology, Neural Networks in Medicine and Healthcare, Biosensors, Virtual Reality in Medicine and Healthcare, Radiation-Tissue Interaction, Ultrasound Technology as well as Biosignal and Medical Image Processing. BEL also has sound experience in using chaotic algorithms and Decision Support Systems based on Neural Networks, signal processing and data fusion algorithms, but also SOA Architecture, Web services and Interoperability Standards, Home Care Systems and Services and e-Health Applications. AiM Research Team was established in 2014. Its purpose is to capitalize on research results provided by BEL, trying to move them as close to the market as possible. The AiM team collaborates with industry and highly innovative SMEs in order to provide solutions to complex problems or suggest exciting new products for their product line-up
