Who We Are ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ Bereaved Families of Ontario – Toronto is a local charitable organization that seeks to inspire hope and transformation in people who are grieving the death of a loved one. What We Do ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ We aim to assist people, without charge, in learning to how live with this "new norm" by providing a safe space to explore, express and understand grief. No matter when, how, or who you lost, we provide a safe environment and resources to help you in your grief journey. Our programs and services range from one-to-one support sessions to 8-week support groups, based on a peer-to-peer support model, to fee-for-service workshops for businesses. We are a community who has the courage to share and explore grief, and to be a beacon of hope for the future.

Stella's Place

Designed by young adults, their families and professionals, Stella’s Place provides comprehensive mental health services for 16 to 29 year olds. We are building a community that focuses on positive, peer-engaging, strength-based recovery. We offer a full menu of choices including peer support, clinical, employment, wellness, studio and recovery programs to help young adults learn skills, find connection and be empowered to manage their own health.

Connect Cognitive Therapy

We offer psychotherapy, psychological assessment and treatment, as well as counseling services for adults and adolescents. Typical problems we address range from difficulty coping with life challenges – such as divorce, work-related stress, serious illness, or significant loss – to a full range of psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety and panic, chronic worry, and phobias. Our group practice is led by Dr. Nelson Byrne, Psychologist. Our diverse team includes psychologists, social workers, and therapists. We have years of experience as clinicians, researchers, and educators in hospitals and the community, in medical and mental health settings across North America.
