Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre is the landmark new £4m technology hub leading the way in harnessing renewable energy. We bring together the latest technology, world leading academics and industry professionals to create new, clean electrolysis and fuel cells. The Centre brings alive the synergy between material research and engineering. The focus is on next-generation energy which will outperform current fossil fuel alternatives both in terms of environmental efficiency and cost effectiveness. The Centre has the resources and expertise to manufacture screen and 3D-printed energy storage devices. Inspiring young minds and developing the technology talent of tomorrow is a vital element of the Centre's ethos. We work with school children and education providers to raise awareness of green energy issues, embedding essential teaching and lab work into every stage of the curriculum. Synthica Energy is a renewable natural gas (RNG) development company focused on the creation of anaerobic digestion facilities across the United States. Natel Energy

Natel Energy is a technology & engineering company working to support healthy rivers, promote biodiversity and decarbonize the grid by developing hydropower turbines that enable downstream passage of fish and other aquatic organisms. Makani

Makani aimed to enable more people around the world to have access to clean, affordable wind power by developing energy kites, an airborne wind energy technology that used a wing tethered to a ground station, to efficiently harness energy from the wind. By replacing the massive steel towers of conventional wind turbines with lightweight hardware and smart software, Makani hoped to unlock access to wind resources too expensive or impractical to access with traditional wind technologies.
