The British Applied College of Umm Al Quwain (BACU) was established in April 2017 as a premier higher education institution in the UAE. Our vision is to become the leading college in the UAE and GCC offering degrees in Applied Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Finance. It also aims to be the College of first choice for students in the region and beyond. To achieve this objective, we deliver the first two years of undergraduate coursework in the UAE in collaboration with Pearson UK Qualifications. Those who successfully complete Pearson Higher National Diploma programs at BACU will have the opportunity to complete their final year of study at Sheffield Hallam University in a selected area of disciplines. Pearson is the largest awarding organization in the UK, offering academic and vocational qualifications that are globally recognized and benchmarked, with educational excellence rooted in names like Edexcel, BTEC, LCCI and EDI.
