School of Management, Tribhuvan University

The School of Management at Tribhuvan University (SOMTU) is an autonomous institution that is responsible for operating full-time professional MBA program. The SOMTU MBA program is an intense two-year course of 60 credit hours spread over four semesters. Its curriculum has been designed with the components that involve course works, practicum, internships, and research projects. The program’s objective is to produce management professionals and entrepreneurs which would not only cater to the needs of today’s organizations, but also create and grow their own ventures. Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program The MBA program is implemented by the autonomous School of Management (SOM) on a full time basis. The program’s focus is on developing managerial and entrepreneurial capabilities of students through the curricular and co-curricular activities. MBA in Global Leadership and Management The MBA in Global Leadership and Management program seeks to develop professional skills in students needed to successfully lead an organization in a global environment. This is a degree program of the School of Management (SOM), Tribhuvan University (TU) in association with the School of Management & Economics, Graduate School of Global Management and Leadership, Handong Global University (HGU), Republic of Korea. The Program will be based on the MOU signed between TU and HGU.

Rangjung Yeshe Institute (RYI) was founded by Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche as an institution of higher learning for all those wishing to deepen and expand their understanding of Buddhist philosophy and practice. RYI has run study programs and hosted seminars in Nepal for more than twenty-five years with the aim to provide a study environment that promotes mutual respect, cooperation, and enlightened common purpose. In 2002, RYI partnered with Kathmandu University (KU) to form the Centre for Buddhist Studies (CBS) in order to offer formal degree programs in Buddhist Studies and related subjects. Courses currently offered include: a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Buddhist Studies with Himalayan Language; an MA preparatory program, a two-year Master of Arts degree in Buddhist Studies; a two-year Master of Arts degree in Translation, Textual Interpretation, and Philology; and a research PhD program. RYI offers several other courses including a twelve-month Translator Training Program, summer intensive courses, and a variety of online learning courses. RYI's alumni number more than 1,300 and span over forty nationalities. They apply their training at RYI in the world through teaching, translating, and interpreting, raising families, healing the ill, and running global companies.
