A Matter of Design was born from our belief that design is a fundamental part of our everyday lives. When design is done well, it has the power to improve your life, supporting you in your home, in your workspace, and wherever you go. We now own Danish furniture brand BoConcept and British furniture, lighting and accessories brand Tom Dixon in Hong Kong. We are especially drawn to European design, because it’s consistently well made, highly functional, beautiful and affordable. This is why we established A Matter of Design: to share our love with Hong Kong and China, uniting a community of design lovers and helping them discover the best designers, brands and products. We also want to nurture great design, by providing talented makers, designers and brands with a place they can call home in Hong Kong.

We’re excited to announce that as of April 2018, the rebranding of ATIKA London, formerly BLITZ London. Marking the start of the store’s expansion, new beginnings and commitment to showing that the last 6 years were only the start. ATIKA London is an east London 6,000 sqft shopping hub with an extensive amount of curated vintage clothing. Showcasing 20,000 unique pieces dating from the late 70’s to early 00’s whilst offering impeccable customer service. We stock high end labels including Burberry, Barbour, Armani and Escada to name just a few. Sports brands Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Champion and Fila can always be found in store. An extensive range of denim, all separately displayed for a successful shopping experience featuring brands such as Levis, Lee, Wrangler and Tommy Hilfiger. Beautiful hand picked mid century Japanese kimonos, vintage French and American workwear including Dickies and Carhartt, whilst also presenting so much more. ATIKA prides itself as a lifestyle and concept store. Offering nail appointments by former WAH girl Izabelle Bellamy alongside a range of books and magazines. We hold the best season picks from popular and in demand brands like Illustrated People, Homage Tees, B-Side, Story of Lola, Barry the Cactus and our very own reworked vintage brand REMIX by ATIKA which is stocked in our Hanbury Street store and in TOPSHOP Oxford Circus. We offer a window for up and coming brands like Artist Pearl Ivy, Hand-painted vintage by Babygirl by BF, homeless charity business Edit Hats and Italian/American vintage menswear emporium Style & Classics.
